2012-2013 Season

2012 - 2013 Season

Titanic: the Musicaltitanic logo with image of ship and an iceberg

September 29, 2012        8:00 PM

Tickets $36, $32, $28

On the 100th anniversary of its tragic journey, TITANIC recounts the dreams, hopes and aspirations of those aboard the fateful ship. The story of the launching, the collision with the iceberg, and the sinking is played out against the background of the rigid class-distinctions of the Edwardian Age. Unaware of the fate that awaits them, the Third Class immigrants dream of a better life in America, the newly-enfranchised Second Class dream of achieving the lifestyles of the rich and famous, and the millionaire-Barons of the First Class dream of their hegemony lasting forever. The ship itself, a dream deemed to be life-protecting and unsinkable by the ship's Architect Thomas Andrews, journeys into legend in the hands of its Captain, Owner and Crew — as a Stoker, a Lookout, and a Telegraph Operator reveal from their perspectives why Titanic was going too fast, saw the iceberg too late, and could not summon help to arrive in time.

Winner of Five 1997 Tony Awards® including Best Musical!

The Flying Karamozov Brothers

November 3, 2012          8:00 PM

Tickets $34, $30, $26

If you see one group of multi-faceted new-vaudevillians at the apex of their ambidextrous and alliterative ability, see THE FLYING KARAMAZOV BROTHERS.

They are not your father’s wild-haired, juggling, flame-throwing, kilt-and-tutu-wearing performers. Each night, the audience is invited to bring objects to the theater for the FKBs to keep airborne in a challenge that ends either with a pie in the face or a standing ovation.picture of the Flying Karamozov Brothers surrounded by cardboard boxes.

The show suits all audiences: adults, students, students who watch "Glee", tourists, theatergoers, theatre-avoiders, pseudo-intellectuals, Abe Vigoda, the friendless, geeks, hedge fund managers, hedge fund managers who are now Duane Reade assistant managers, kids (but only gifted ones with a solid background in the classics), disgraced religious leaders, Kardashians and politicians.

Pardoned? Incarcerated? They don’t discriminate.

Tickets $36, $32, $28

Fiddler on the Roof - The TRADITION lives!

The universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter , joy and sadness.  Tevye, a poor milkman is trying to keep his family’s traditions in place.  Yet, times are changing.  And when Tevye’s daughters want to make their own matches, he must choose between his own daughters’ happiness and those beloved traditions that keep the outside world at bay.  Yet it is Tevye’s love of his family, pride and faith that help him face the dangerous forces in Anatevka which threaten to destroy the very life he and his fellow villagers are trying to preserve.

Fiddler on the Roof is filled with a rousing, heartwarming score, including “Tradition,”  “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” “If I Were a Rich Man” and “Sunrise, Sunset.”  No other musical has so magically woven music, dance, poignancy and laughter into such an electrifying and unforgettable experience.  Relive the tradition!
