Where is the State Theatre Box Office located? When is it open?
The State Theatre box office is located inside the Theatre foyer on the left and is open Monday through Friday 9:00AM to 5:00PM. On the day of a performance the box office is open 3 hours prior to show time. To reach the box office during business hours, please call 724-439-1360 or toll free at 800-397-2554. Unless a performance is scheduled, the box office is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
How can I purchase tickets?
Is there really a benefit to being a subscriber?
You bet! Subscribers can choose between the State Series, all six performances, or they can create their own mini-series with a Pick Three subscription at a savings well below the cost of purchasing single tickets. With either package subscribers also receive the following benefits:
First choice of seating
Lost tickets replaced at no extra charge
10% off any additional season tickets
*Please note: State Series subscribers’ seats will remain consistent throughout the season. Pick Three subscribers’ seats may vary by performance based on the number of Pick Three subscriptions sold and their selections.
Are there any discounts available on single ticket purchases?
The following discounts are available on single tickets:
Seniors – 10% off for those 60+
Students – 10% off with valid ID
Children* – 50% off with Adult purchase
One discount per ticket. Subscription packages are discounted. No other discounts apply Every person age 2 and above must have a ticket. While we appreciate the opportunity and importance of presenting the arts to children, parents are asked to use discretion when bringing very young children. Regardless of age everyone is required to have a ticket.
I’d like to bring a group to the Historic State Theatre. Can we get a discount?
Groups of 10 or more receive a 10% discounts and groups of 20 or more receive a 15% discount. Call 724-439-1360 or toll free at 800-397-2554 to make a reservation. Final payment is due two weeks prior to the performance.
Is it true that students can get a deal on tickets?
Yes. All students are eligible to participate in our Student Rush and purchase single tickets three hours prior to any regular season performance in the balcony for only $5.00. One ticket per student. Get your friends together and see a show!

Why am I being charged service/handling fees?
Service fees are charged in addition to the advertised ticket price and will vary depending on the purchase method. Service fees cover the costs of operating a box office, including staffing, software licensing, and shipping/handling.
Is there a dress code?
There is no specific dress code for The State Theatre. Most people enjoy dressing up to go to the theatre, but you will see people wearing everything from casual to Sunday best.
Can I take a tour of the State Theatre?
Yes. To schedule a tour contact the administrative offices at 724-439-1360 or toll free at 800-397-2554. Tours are scheduled depending on the theatre's schedule of events. No tour will be scheduled on a date when there is a production taking place.
Do you have a lost & found?
Yes. Items that are left at the theatre are kept in our lost and found. Please call 724-439-1360 during regular business hours to see if your item has been turned in.
Will every upcoming event be listed on your website?
We do not post shows until we have a confirmed on-sale date. For some rental or private events, information will not appear on our calendar.
Is smoking allowed?
The State Theatre is a non-smoking venue. This rule is strictly enforced. Vapor or e-cigarettes are not allowed in the theatre as well. Smoking is allowed in Storey Square.
I like to be early for the theatre, why can't I go in and sit down?
Based upon contractual agreements, the auditorium will not be opened until the show is technically ready and permission has been granted by the performer(s), this is generally one-half hour prior to curtain.
Is seating available in the main lobby?
No, there is no seating available in the main lobby. If standing is an issue for you or one of your guests, try to arrive after the doors have opened to the house.
What if I’m late?
Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the house manager until intermission.
