COVID 19 and State Theatre Events
In order to comply with the National Center for Disease Control’s recommendations, all public events scheduled at the State Theatre prior to May 7th will be rescheduled or cancelled. The Artrageous performance scheduled for March 21st is cancelled. All ticket holders have been notified and will receive their refunds in the form of payment received at the time of purchase. Those refunds have all been processed at this time.
We are working with Jack Hanna and the 50 Years of Rock and Roll shows to look for dates to reschedule in the early Fall of 2020. All ticket holder’s tickets will be honored at the rescheduled date. We will work with you if the new dates do not comply with your schedule and refund or exchange your tickets. At this time, please bear with us as we work to make those shows happen. We will notify all ticket holders when the new dates are confirmed.
Geibel High School is hoping to postpone their musical performances. New purchases for their performances are suspended at this time. If they are able to reschedule, all ticket holder’s tickets will be honored at the new performances. If they should have to cancel, full refunds will be issued.
Dance recitals and other events scheduled to take place before May 10th will be moved to new dates. Dance studio owners will handle questions and ticket concerns for their performances. Please reach out directly to them for information regarding their shows.
Classic films scheduled for April, May, and June will also be cancelled to open dates for performances and recitals needing to reschedule their events.
Auditions for Summer at the State will still take place. Modifications to the audition schedule may be made. Check the event on the State Theatre Facebook page for the most up to date information.
As per Governor Wolf’s non-essential business shut down for two weeks, the State Theatre offices will not be open to the public during that time. The offices will reopen to the public on March 31st at 9:00 AM. Any information regarding postponed performances and rescheduling of events prior to the reopening of the offices will be posted on our Facebook page.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding. These are challenging times for all and our staff and board of directors are committed to keeping the health and safety of our patrons our top priority.
